We’re still on a midge kick here at Black Gnats HQ. Nothing beats tying tiny flies in the winter and nothing seems to be more effective at consistently catching fish in those cold temps.

Here’s a great follow up to last week’s feature, the Zebra Midge. This funky little pattern, called the “Disco Midge,” is quite simple in its materials list. Plus, I really like the addition of the glass bead head. Just don’t let your friends catch you buying fluorescent pink thread … they won’t believe you when you say it’s for fly tying.
