We had every intention of showcasing a different tier every week, but when we found Mike Schmidt’s Mufasa we had to bring it to you. Tied with common materials and a Fish Skull for a head, this fly comes together quickly and looks fierce when finished. Fish it with quick strips on a sinking line and the fly comes alive in a way that really draws in the pigs. Brian Wise of FlyFishingtheOzarks ties this fly as only he can.
