Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of posts this past week. We’ve got two good reasons, though: 1.) it’s the holidays and we’re spending time with friends, family and loved ones and 2.) we’re busy filming another adventure! Yesterday – by some holiday miracle – all three of us were able to get out and hit the streams, despite an unannounced drop of snow overnight. We certainly didn’t let that stop us, though. We fought through dead batteries, snow, ice and finger-numbing temps to hit two local creeks – Clark’s Creek and Stony Creek in Dauphin, PA.

Santa was good to us this year. Two new additions to the arsenal – a couple of GoPro Hero 3 cameras – really helped us get some cool underwater shots and smooth slow motion stuff. We’re really looking forward to doing more shooting on these in the future. Garrick also got a new pair of Simms wading boots and both Andy and Garrick were sporting new landing nets, among other things.

Also, unlike our previous video – Black (Gnats) Friday – we actually caught fish this time!

Altogether, 2013 was a good year for The Black Gnats and 2014 looks even brighter. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

-Tight lines!
