Hey guys, Paul here with an update from Maine.
I’ve missed my old home streams and my fishing buddies, Andy and Garrick. My only consolations are the seemingly infinite water and new species of Maine. Within the last week or two I’ve made it my goal to hook some stripers on the fly, but so far, I’ve been skunked completely. Even my largest streamers seem to be too small in comparison to what the local spin fishermen throw, so I tied some larger baitfish patterns. It took me a few tries, but I finally settled on this, which I call “The Bleeding Wife.” Before you call the cops to report domestic violence, Google “Alewife.” It will make more sense.

The Black Gnats 
The colors and textures of these are beautiful. Glancing at the small versions of the photos, they seriously look real. I especially like the green you chose (baby bass!?!) and the silver midsection- it seems to add that real life detail. I’d love to see what you catch with these bad boys, make sure to update us!!!!
